What is your middle name? Would you change any of your names if you could? If so, what would you like to be called?
My middle name is Marie. I used to hate my first name (Jane), but since I discovered Jane Austen and English literature I love it. And it suits me particularly well. If I wanted to change it I think I would want to be "Emma" or "Emily."
Soup
If you were a fashion designer, which fabrics, colors, and styles would you probably use the most?
I love traditional, classic styles like the empire waist, etc. I would probably use elegant colors like black, cream, navy, dark reds, greens, purples, etc. I love damasks, satins, silk, and other regular fabrics. I don't know that much about fabrics or fashion, so that's about all I'm going to write! :)
Salad
What is your least favorite chore, and why?
My least favorite chore is cleaning my bedroom! I have stacks of books everywhere (which I love) and my dresser is too small, so I lazily stack my clothes on pulled out drawers. If I manage to shove all my clothes in the dresser I am worn out from cleaning and never get to anything else!
Main Course
What is something that really frightens you, and can you trace it back to an event in your life?
Something that used to really frighten me is fireworks. When I was 6-7 we were across the state at a family friends' house for the 4th of July. We children were out in the street watching the men set fireworks off and we were all fine. They were going to light a big rocket and didn't want us to get hurt so they sent us into the yard. Well, the rocket hit a tree branch, bounced of the ground, and went up the back of my favorite little sundress, burning it to my back! Scary! To top it all off, we were driving home in our VW Camper and got in a car wreck. My mother was holding an ice pack on my back when we went down a big hill and the sun got in my dad's eyes and the camper rolled. My little sister and I were terrified of fireworks for years and years and thought they would fall on us. Happily, I'm quite over that now, but it was one of my biggest fears!
Dessert
Where are you sitting right now? Name 3 things you can see at this moment.
I am sitting in the den. I can see:
1. My favorite cream-and-black toile teacup and saucer with Raspberry Earl Grey tea.
2. The Office Computer Game my dad gave my sister and me for Epiphany. Fun!
3. Christmas wrapping paper.

Friday's Feast #171
Appetizer
What was the last game you purchased?
I have absolutely no idea! I don't buy games very often. My dad usually does that for the family, so I'll go with the last game he bought us: the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD Game (sort of like Scene-It, but not).
Soup
Name something in which you don’t believe.
I don't believe in abortion.
Salad
If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick?
Oooh, JOSH GROBAN!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't that be lovely?!?
Main Course
What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way?
Hmmm, how not to be shy. I've always been shy, so I've had to learn, really the hard way, how to just be confident in myself in new situations (or even with familiar people). It has been hard at times.
Dessert
Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room.
My perfect relaxation room would contain a lovely, soft big bed and some very comfy furniture such as a couch and a chaise lounge. It would have my favorite paintings by John Williams Waterhouse, Leighton, etc., on the cream colored walls, and gorgeous rich drapes. There would be big windows in one wall, looking out over my favorite lake or some beautiful scene. On another wall would be a great big fireplace. A big tv with dvd player, stereo, etc. would be contained in a elegant cupboard. And there would be bookshelves full of my favorite and interesting books all around. And, of course, there would be a tea table with a tea set and some delicious food. Wouldn't that be relaxing?

Appetizer
Which snack do you like to get when you go to the movies?
I always love to have popcorn when I go to the movies. Popcorn is the greatest snack ever! It is especially good when it is all buttery and salty! Yummy!
Soup
What year did you start using the internet?
I don't really remember, though I can recall using it in high school (I graduated in 1999.). Probably 1996?
Salad
What is your first name in Pig Latin? (Here’s how to speak it if you don’t already know!
AneJay.
Main Course
Name something you are picky about.
I am picky about my books. When I buy a book I like to make sure it isn't damaged and that the cover isn't bent or anything. I like to be careful when I read them and I try not to bend the pages or the cover or anything. So, it is kind of hard to lend books to people because they don't show the same care. :) I love books. (Speaking of books: Make sure you enter my book contest here!)
Dessert
Fill in the blanks: I ____ ____ yesterday and I ____ ____ today.
I slept in yesterday and I made Pumpkin Bread today. :)

How long does it usually take you to fall asleep?
It depends on whether I have a lot going on or a lot in my head, how tired I am, and how much I want to keep reading. I try not to look at the clock because then I freak myself out!

I feel like playing around on the internet this evening, so I thought I would join Friday's Feast (at least today!)

Soup
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 as highest), about how popular is your last name?
My last name is not very popular or common, so I would say a 1. It is Americanized French and I don't know of anyone other than my (huge) family in the U.S. Basically, it is a big, well-known region of France.
Salad
Who is your all-time favorite sitcom character, and why?
I was just lamenting the fact that Nick-at-Night seems to have gone away. I used to watch it all the time as a child. My all-time favorite sitcom character . . . that is a difficult decision! I would probably have to say Samantha Stephens from Bewitched. I always wanted to be her.
