AP: Harry Potter most re-read book in Britain: survey---
LONDON, Nov 9 (Reuters Life!) - Nearly 80 percent of Britons have re-read a book, with the Harry Potter series the most likely to be picked up again, a survey revealed on Friday.I couldn't agree more!
Some of the books that are re-read for pleasure are classics such as Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" and Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre."
Others in the top 10 include JRR Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" as well as Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code."
People said they returned to the same books because they are fantastic stories of which they never tire, they find something new in each reading, it is comforting, they can relate to the characters and it cheers them up.

I absolutely love The Diviners by Margaret Laurence. I read it a couple of times by now and still there are passages that give me chills.
I don't think I have heard of it, but I love books that make you feel like that even after multiple readings. I will have to look for it! Thanks for the great comment!
Well, I have re-read the whole Harry Potter series at least 3 times, I am on the fourth now, up to the Order of the Phoenix. I have reread P&P, S&S and Persuasion twice (neglecting the others, note to self: read more JA). I have reread some mystery series (most notibly Sue Grafton) and some SciFi (Anne McGraffrey's Dragon series and Ursula Leguins lovely books)and whenever I need to find a way out of the dumps when I am feeling blue I read anything by Gerald Durrell (My Family and other Animals for a starter). Whew, I read a lot-- that comes from working in a library I suppose.
I have read HP 5 times, except for 6 & 7. I am on my 5th read of 6 and have read 7 two times. I meant to finish 6 again before 7 came out, but ran out of time and am going to finish it before reading 7 again. :)
You should definitely read more JA! Northanger Abbey is hilarious!
I wish I worked at a library! Lucky you!!! I absolutely love to read and play with books.
