Just Got Home . . .

. . . and will write more about OotP tomorrow or sometime this week. It wasn't quite what I expected and hoped for . . .

I'm curious to know what you think of OotP. I can't stop thinking about it ever since I saw it... where did they go wrong??

Im curious too. I saw it Wednesday, and it went so fast. Feel like I missed somthing. But I wasn't bored.

Yes, at least we have Josh, Aj!

Ladies, this was the shortest film at 2 hours 18 minutes. It was the longest book at something like 896 pages. The film was simply too short, much, much too short. They cut so many important things and added some things that weren't necessary and only took up the time that could have been used for the important things! The usual characters were sort of forced into the background and Umbridge was sort of the main focus. I honestly think it ought to have been called "Harry Potter and the Power-Hungry Professor," rather than Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because, and I think this is sort of why it was so disappointing, the Order of the Phoenix was almost completely missing from its own movie! Seriously, if you haven't read the books, you probably don't know what the OotP is or its purpose or what exactly is going on.

There were certainly great parts and parts I liked and parts that were well done. I just wanted more, more, more! I would gladly have sat through a 3-4 hour movie! That's what we wanted, needed, expected (at least I did!).

I feel sure that I will like it better if I see it again. I felt the same way about Prisoner of Azkaban. I just wanted more.

At least we have the book to look forward to at the end of this coming week.
